How to Pause and Resume Subscriptions in ChargeBee

In this guide, you will learn how to manage subscription pauses and resumes in ChargeBee through various methods.

Step 1: Enable Pause Subscription in ChargeBee

1. Navigate to Settings and select Configure ChargeBee from the drop-down menu.

2. Once the modal opens, select Billing Log IQ.

3. Click on the Pause Subscription option.

4. Enable Pause Subscription Settings.

5. Choose when you want to pause the subscription from the drop-down menu.

6. Similarly, choose what happens when a paused subscription needs to be resumed.

7. Publish changes to reflect in your account.

Step 2: Enable Self-Serve Portal for Customers

1. Navigate to the Configure ChargeBee tab under Settings.

2. Select the Checkout and Self-Serve portal.

3. From the Configurations tab, select the portal settings.

4. Enable the Self-Serve portal settings to allow customers to modify subscriptions.

5. Check the Allow customers to pause subscriptions option.

6. Modify how customers can enable pause settings and the duration for which subscriptions can be paused.

7. Check the option to allow customers to resume paused subscriptions.

8. Publish your changes.
