In this guide, we will walk through the steps to configure Subscription Cancellation settings in ChargeBee.
Click on Settings in the navigation bar.
Select Configure ChargeBee from the drop-down menu.
In the Configure ChargeBee section, click on Billing Logic.
Choose Subscription Cancellation from the list.
There are several settings you can configure:
Cancellation Timing: Decide when a subscription should be cancelled.
Handling Credits: Choose how to manage credits for the unused period after a subscription is cancelled.
Refundable Credits: Determine what to do with existing refundable credits, if any.
Unpaid Invoices: Decide on actions for existing unpaid invoices for the cancelled subscription.
ChargeBee allows you to override default settings or add conditions by clicking the vertical ellipsis next to each setting.
Subscriptions can only be cancelled immediately. To cancel at the end of the term:
Go to Subscriptions in your dashboard.
This opens the Subscriptions Index page, listing all your subscriptions.
Click on the subscription name to view specific details.
In the Subscription Details, click on Edit Subscription under Subscription Actions.
In the Billing Info section, select the Fixed option from the Billing Cycles drop-down menu.
Set the number of billing cycles for the subscription.
Click the Update button at the top right to apply changes.
In the Confirmation modal, click Proceed to continue.
To edit schedule cancellations, click Cancel Subscription.
Select when to cancel the subscription.
If you want to restart billing for a cancelled subscription, you need to reactivate your subscription.
Thank you for watching.
