In this guide, we will walk through the process of creating and sending a quote when you need to change an existing subscription. This can be useful if you want to propose changes to a subscription and send it as a quote to a customer.
Open the Subscription: Navigate to the subscription you wish to modify.
Create and Send a Quote: Click on the "Create and Send a Quote" option.
Make Proposed Changes: On the new page, make all necessary changes to the subscription. For example:
Switch to a six-month plan instead of an annual plan.
Add additional user licenses, such as four more, to accommodate a growing team.
Name Your Quote: Provide a name for your quote, such as "Revised Quote for Acme."
Set Expiry Date: Specify the expiry date for the quote, indicating how long it will remain valid.
Select Billing Cycle: Choose the billing cycle for the subscription once the quote is approved.
Add Notes: Include any additional notes for the customer to refer to.
Add Signature: Ensure your signature is added to the quote.
Create Quote: Click on "Create Quote" to finalize the process.
Once the quote is created, you will be redirected to the Quotes tab where you can:
View the quote created for the customer, such as Acme.
Review the subscription terms and a detailed breakdown.
Perform various quote actions, including:
Edit the quote.
Update the subscription.
Update the quote status.
Send the quote via email directly from the page.
This is how you can add a quote to an existing subscription, make necessary changes, and send it out to the customer. Thank you for watching.
