In this guide, we will walk you through the process of extending the expiry date for quotes in your workspace. Before we proceed with extending the expiry date, let's first understand how to set the validity period for all quotes.
Go to Settings.
Navigate to Configure Charge Fee.
Scroll down to Customer Phasing Essentials.
Locate and click on Quotes.
Here, you will find the validity feature where you can specify the validity period for your quotes.
Once the specified period expires, the quote will be marked as closed.
Let's consider a scenario where a customer has been sent a quote with a validity period of 10 days. If the customer requests an extension of one week, follow these steps:
Open the quote that needs an extension.
Under Quote Actions on the right side, find and click on Extend Expiry Date.
Choose from the predefined options or select a specific date for the extension.
For example, you can give them an additional one week.
Ensure you add comments for future reference.
Click on Confirm to finalize the extension.
By extending the expiry date, you override the original validity period set in the quotes configuration for this particular quote. This adjustment is made at the quote level, allowing you to extend the expiry date without creating a new subscription.
