Managing Customer Records in ChargeBee

In this guide, we will explore how to manage customer records in ChargeBee and the various actions you can perform on a customer record.

Accessing Customer Records

Navigate to the Customers tab in ChargeBee. Once you are on a customer record, you will see several options on the right-hand side.

Edit Customer Information

  • Edit Customer: Modify essential information such as personal details.

  • Essentials: Configure the customer's language, preferred currency, and auto-collection settings.

  • Set payment methods, including bank account options and tax exemptions.

Subscription Actions

  • Create a new subscription for the customer.

  • If the customer is undecided, send them a quote.

Billing Actions

  • Request the customer to update their payment method via email.

  • Update the customer's billing address directly from their record.

  • Add one-time add-ons or charges, such as implementation setup fees.

  • Create a Quick Charge for specific services.

  • Offer promotional credits to the customer.

Offline Payments

  • Record offline payments made by the customer.

  • Select the mode of payment and record the amount, which will be deducted from future invoices.

Deleting a Customer

If necessary, you can delete a customer record. Please note that this action is irreversible, so proceed with caution.
