How to Collect an Invoice Payment in ChargeBee

In this guide, we will walk you through the steps to collect an invoice payment in ChargeBee.

Steps to Collect an Invoice Payment

1. Navigate to the Invoices Section:

   Click on your desired invoice in the Invoices section.

2. Initiate Collection:

   In the Invoice Actions panel, click on Collect Now.

3. Confirm Collection Amount:

   In the modal, ensure the collection amount is correct and click on the Proceed button.

4. Add Comments:

   Add a comment if needed and click on the Update button.

5. Confirmation:

   A notification at the bottom left confirms a successful invoice payment collection.

Important Note

The Collect Now option will be available for invoices only when you have customer or subscription records with Auto-Collection enabled.

How to Enable Auto-Collection

1. Check Auto-Collection Status:

   Click on the customer's name at the top.

2. Update Auto-Collection:

   In the Customer Configuration section, check the status of the Auto-Collection. If it is set to Off, change it to On to enable the Collect Now option.
